Alan was born in the New South Wales country town of Griffith and started his apprenticeship as a golf professional in 1978 at the Lakes Golf Club in Sydney. He played on tour briefly and won the Vanuatu Open in 1986. Alan is a “AAA” rated Member of the Australian PGA and is a Certified Titleist Performance Institute Fitness Instructor.

Alan's true passion lies in teaching the game and helping others improving theirs.

He began fulltime teaching in 1985 and since then he has traveled the world seeking out the best coaches and finding better ways to teach golf.

Peter Croker, Butch Harmon, David Leadbetter, Chuck Cook, Hank Haney and Jim McLean are just a few who have shaped his style and philosophy, with Jim McLean having the biggest influence. Alan has worked in Australia , New Caledonia, China, North Africa, Europe and The United States.

He has also taught golfers of all standards, from beginners to tour players and he lectured fellow PGA members at conferences in Switzerland, Ireland, China and Australia.

Alan has over 25 years experience as a PGA Professional. He has played golf in over 50 countries and on 50 of the Top 100 Courses in the world. He has met and worked with most of today's best teachers and has acquired a vast knowledge of the game.

From these experiences he has developed a teaching method called “EasyGolf”.

With this method and the help of other experts he has put together golf school programs that are unique to the general golfing public. These schools will be available in 2008 at The Evian Royal Resort in France and at Moonah Links Resort in Australia during the month of February 2009.

GOLF should be easy and fun to learn.
You can order now the lastest book by Alan Johnston “A better way to master the game”.

GOLF should be taught simply, both in language and process.
You wouldn't learn to Ski on a black slope, so why start with the full swing in golf?

We teach beginners putting first, chipping and pitching next and then finally the full swing. Start with the short irons and work up through the irons, ending with the woods. Learning is faster this way!

For the advanced players, we evaluate their game (usually on the course) and develop a program to suit their needs. We monitor and compare their past and present performances to show their impro- vement, which builds confidence.

In our programs we use the expertise of a Myotherapist, Physiotherapist, Bio technician, Sports Psychologist, Dietitian and a Physical trainer so that we can help you play to your full potential. Until now these experts weren't available to general public.
